February 8, 2008:

The True Value Modified Racing Series made it’s second appearance at the 49th Annual Frank Maratta Auto & Cycle Show held at the Connecticut Expo Center in Hartford, CT. The show featured a variety of cars including antique and classic custom cars, choppers and motorcycles, import and tuner cars, and racing vehicles from all forms of motorsports.

The True Value Series display included the cars of Jack Bateman and Jeff Pearl. Bateman’s new 2008 Spafco Chevy picked up the Best Appearing Tour Style Modified award. Several of the series staff manned the booth for the 3day event with great reaction from the shows visitors. “This show has really become important to our series for getting our message out” said John Hoyt series Marketing Director. “This is the heart of modified country here. I have been very pleased with the amount of feedback I’ve gotten from fans of our series this weekend. Of course that all falls back on our competitors and the series officials for making our show on the track some of the most competitive modified racing you’ll find in New England. The Series really has become New England’s Modified Racing Series.”

Next up for series will be the Racin’ Preview which will be held on Friday and Saturday February 22nd & 23rd at the Portland Expo in Portland Maine followed by the 2nd annual Speedway Expo February 29th thru March 2nd at the Eastern States Exposition in Springfield, MA.
