Pre-Race Party To Usher In Ricky’ Race For Kids Friday

White River Junction, VT -- A “Giant Pre-Race Party and Cruze In” has been
scheduled Friday, July 15, to usher in the 4th annual “Ricky’s Race For Kids,”
the next day, at Canaan Fair Speedway, Canaan, NH. Gateway Motors, 190
Sykes Avenue, White River Junction, Vermont., will host this special event for
racers and fans.

The race, a 112-lap event, is run in honor of Ricky Miller who passed away in
2004 from injuries suffered in a racing accident.

The pre-race get together and racing program benefits David’s House, of Lebanon, NH, a home away from home for families with ill or injured children receiving treatment through Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth- Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH

Friday afternoon, race fans and car enthusiasts will enjoy a meet and greet with
race drivers, a live broadcast by KIXX 100.5, a huge street rod and antique
car presentation by Car Nutz Car Club, of Newport, NH, an appearance by
popular country music band, “Little Memphis,” games, raffles, and free food.

Upwards of 150 hot rods, custom cars, and antique automobiles, are anticipated to cruize-in to the Friday afternoon party, all paying a $25.00 registration fee that benefits David’s House.

A giant raffle with prizes worth over $10,000 will be held on race day, July 16.

The biggest drawings billed as a New England sports fans dream will be; Boston
Red Sox Green Monster Wall tickets for a September game with Tampa Bay, VIP tickets for the September race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, New England Patriot vs. Dallas Cowboys tickets, and front row tickets for the Red Sox vs. Cleveland Indians in August. Raffle tickets will be available at Gateway Motors. All raffle proceeds benefit David’s House.

Friday’s festivities will be held from 4:30 to 8:30 PM.

The event’s Prime Corporate Sponsors, Mascoma Savings Bank, of Lebanon, NH, and Irving Energy, of Portmouth, NH., will be presenting the big race on Saturday.
