Modified Racing Series Receives
Achievement Recognition
Since 1983, Auto Racing Analysis has
been providing its services to the motorsports community. ARA’s
extensive database resources covering national and international
motorsports competition - as well as a vast reference library of
publications and microfilm resources - allow Auto Racing Analysis
to provide a wide range of analysis and research. Auto Racing
Analysis combines the best of both worlds: insightful analysis of
current racing events is combined with an unmatched historical
perspective, putting current racing events into context as part of
a continuum of racing history. The Auto Racing Analysis website
also features coverage of automotive collectibles, reviews of
racing, manufacturer, and dealership websites, and other subjects
of interest to automotive enthusiasts.
ASCS Rebel Sprint Cars, True Value Modified, SCCA Trans-Am, and
FIA GP2 Asia Lead ARA Series Competition Index Honors
Auto Racing Analysis is pleased to present the 2009 ARA Series
Competition Index results, produced from analyzing the results of
306 racing series worldwide.
The ARA Competition Index is determined by dividing the number of
2009 race winners by the number of 2009 races in each series
(example: 7 race winners in 7 races, 1.000; 6 winners in 9 races,
0.667). In series featuring driving teams of two or more drivers,
the number of winners is based upon the number of teams scoring
wins.
Four ARA Competition Index categories are presented: Series of
Less Than 15 Races, Series of 15 Races or More, Ladder Series, and
Pinnacle Series.
SERIES OF 15 OR MORE RACES
The True Value Modified Series led the 15 or More Races category
in 2009 with twelve winners in fifteen races (0.800) and also led
the Open Wheel Oval category. The BCRA Midget series, with
thirteen winners in seventeen races (0.765) ranked second overall
and led the Midget series. The USAC/CRA Sprint Car series led the
Sprint Car category. Europe’s soccer team-sponsored Superleague
led the Road Racing and Road Racing Open Wheel contingent. The
All-Star Dirt Late Model series led both the Stock Car and Dirt
Late Model contingents. The Turismo Carretera Argentina was the
leading Production-Based Road Racing series. The Pavement Stock
Car category was led by the American-Canadian Tour. Italy’s
Porsche Carrera Cup series was the leading Spec One-Make series.
The USAC Focus Midget California Pavement series led the Pavement
Midget category. The IRL Indy Lights series led the Open Wheel
Diversified (road course and ovals) category. The Dutch GT4 Cup
and the Brazilian GT3 series tied for GT category honors.
Congratulations! This is a significant achievement!
